da bet7: Leeds United have yet to receive a formal offer for Jack Harrison, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer Graham Smyth.
The lowdown
da prosport bet: In separate reports, The Telegraph have claimed that both Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in signing the 26-year-old.
So far this summer, Leeds have lost Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City in a £45m move and received offers for the £55m-rated Raphinha.
Harrison , who has two years left to run on his £60,000-per-week contract, is valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt.
The latest
Smyth has said that Leeds have held exploratory dialogue with interested parties for the ex-Man City winger, although no bids have materialised thus far. The reporter added that transfer isn’t off the table, but the Whites certainly aren’t planning to offload him.
Smyth told a Leeds Q&A for the Yorkshire Evening Post: “There was interest in Jack Harrison and a conversation or two but as far as we’re aware no concrete bids. Every player has a price, of course, but Leeds are more than happy to keep Harrison for next season.”

The verdict
It’s worth considering what may represent a good price for Harrison. First and foremost, he’s a good age and his value is protected by his contract status.
In terms of his level, he has been directly involved in 25 goals in two top-flight seasons since Leeds returned to the Premier League, which must be considered a strong return. He has scored 28 goals and provided 22 assists for the Whites overall.
Everton manager Frank Lampard regards the 26-year-old as ‘one of the best wingers’ in the Premier League, while Alan Shearer has called him ‘absolutely fantastic’. Also, it’s telling that a Champions League club in Spurs are reportedly interested in the winger.
If fellow 26-year-old Phillips cost £45m, then Harrison shouldn’t be too far behind in terms of any prospective transfer fee.
