da bet sport: Leeds have already been linked with some big name strikers since Paul Heckingbottom’s departure, but which number nine should they sign?
da doce: In one of the most surprising transfer stories of the summer, Leeds have been linked with a move for Spain legend Fernando Torres.
With Marcelo Bielsa’s move to Leeds nearing completion, a transfer report from last summer has people wondering if he will try and bring Torres to Elland Road.
The 2017 report from Mundo Deportivo says Bielsa was “crazy” about signing Torres for Lille, and HITC believe he could reignite his interest as the new Leeds boss.
Torres will be a free agent this summer after deciding not to renew his contract with Atletico Madrid, and if Leeds could bring in the man who has 38 goals in 110 Spain caps it would be one hell of a coup.
That said, the former Liverpool man will be 35 by the end of next season, and Leeds fans have been crying out for a proven Championship goalscorer.

That goalscorer could just be Matej Vydra, who is looking increasingly likely to leave Derby and has been linked with a move to Leeds.
The 26 year-old scored 21 Championship goals for the Rams last season, and could be the proven number nine Leeds need.
While there’s no doubt Torres is the more gifted talent, Vydra is hungrier, younger and in better form. It’s not every day a 20-goal striker falls in your lap, and Leeds should jump at the chance to sign the Czech international.
So, Leeds fans, which striker would you rather sign this summer? Let us know by voting in the poll below…
