Michail Antonio has been impressive for West Ham United since returning from his lengthy injury.
Having scored against Tottenham Hotspur, the 29-year-old was a real threat in the victory at Stamford Bridge, winning nine aerial duels and completing three dribbles.
However, his progress may have been halted, after ExWHUEmployee reported that he is “touch and go” to play against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Considering Antonio has already missed nine Premier League matches this season through injury, many West Ham fans are wary of risking him on Wednesday.
They see him as an important player for the side who can make an impact for the club, as long as he isn’t on the treatment table.
The suggestion from plenty of those fans is that he should be “wrapped up in cotton wool” and saved for the Arsenal game on Monday evening.
However, not all fans are so patient with the 29-year-old, with it seeming as though some of them have had enough of his injuries after seeing the likes of Andy Carroll spend large periods of time out while on the wage bill at West Ham.
One fan suggested that the Hammers should “get rid” of the versatile forward, with another calling his injury “typical”.
It should be said that he went through the majority of last season unscathed, making 33 Premier League appearances.
