According to The Sun, Crystal Palace have submitted a £6.5m bid for Everton’s Oumar Niasse after a loan move for Dominic Solanke surprisingly fell through, as the Eagles look to boost their striking options.
Despite scoring the crucial goal – and his first for Palace – against Wolves on Wednesday to claim a well-deserved win, Jordan Ayew is far from good enough to lead the line if the Selhurst Park outfit are to stave off the threat of relegation and it would seem that the high-ups have acknowledged that.
Just four days into the transfer window and Palace have had an approach accepted for Solanke, terms agreed and a medical taken, only for the deal to hit an unknown stumbling block at the last second – now the south Londoners are turning their attention to 28-year-old Niasse, who has played just 58 Premier League minutes this season.
