Newcastle failed to record back-to-back home wins against Wolves and some fans have criticised Martin Dubravka for his role in the visitors’ equaliser.
Steve Bruce’s side took a 1-0 lead into the half-time break thanks to a Jamaal Lascelles headers, but Wolves’ mounting pressure in the second period ultimately paid off.
Whilst the goalkeeper should have done better with Adama Traore’s cross – palming it right onto the boot of Jonny – he was hardly aided by a helpless defence, and it should concern Bruce that, despite operating with a five-at-the-back formation, his side has conceded ten goals in the last six matches.
Dubravka impressed when he first arrived at St James’ Park and pleased fans with his performances, but it seems there are now doubts creeping in over his ability, and whether he is good enough to play for the Magpies.
One fan criticised his aerial ability, which cost them all three points, and others are becoming frustrated at his decline, as can be seen in the reactions below.
