Andy Halliday has been through plenty of ups and downs as a Rangers player and supporter.
The midfielder spent three years at his boyhood club during his youth career and then later down the line in 2015 he signed for the club.
At times, Halliday has been a scapegoat for Rangers’ failings from his own supporters on Twitter, but this season he has had a revival under manager Steven Gerrard.
The 26-year-old has made six appearances in all competitions so far, and he has started five of them.
On Wednesday night, Halliday captained the Gers to a 4-0 win over Ayr United, which resulted in progression to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.
The midfielder played a vital role as he created two assists over the course of the victory.
On Twitter, some fans were quick to praise Halliday for his performance, and a few gave credit to Gerrard for improving the player’s all-round game since the ex-Liverpool captain became manager.
